Appendix C Back matter
Your Privacy
Summary. North County Water & Pipes asks you for nothing: it has no forms, no accounts, no ads and no analytics, and it sets no cookies of its own.

What the site collects
Nothing that you enter, because there is nowhere to enter it. The site has no forms, sign-ups, comment boxes or accounts, and it does not run ads or analytics scripts. It sets no cookies.
Like any website, the pages are delivered by a hosting service, which handles the ordinary technical details of each request, such as your IP address and browser type, in order to send the page. The site does not use that information to build a profile of you.
Links to other websites, including water districts, government agencies and the same-owner businesses named on who runs this site Appendix B, are ordinary links. Once you follow one, the other site's own privacy policy applies.
Videos
Some pages include a video, and each one is click-to-play. Before you press play, the page shows only a still image, which your browser fetches from YouTube's image server (i.ytimg.com). The video player itself loads from youtube-nocookie.com only after you click. From that point YouTube's own privacy terms apply to the video.
If you never press play, no YouTube player loads on the page.
Fonts and images
The site's typefaces come from Google Fonts, so your browser requests the font files from Google's servers when a page opens. Google's privacy policy covers those requests.
Photos and generated pictures are part of the site's own files. Where each photo came from, and under which license, is listed on picture sources Appendix D.
